Peace be still! A phrase that we’ve heard countless times, in scripture, songs, displayed in art, etc. but do we truly know what that means? How do we birth peace when chaos is all around us? How do we birth peace when Chaos is all we’ve ever known growing up. What is peace? What does peace look like? I looked up the definition of peace and one of the definitions say “freedom from disturbance.” Now that definition hit me because it didn’t say that the disturbances wouldn’t be there. It says that we are free from it. We are not enslaved by the chaos that’s going on around us. Let’s journey through the word where we hear “Peace be still.” In Matthew 8:23-27 Jesus is in the boat with a few of His disciples and SUDDENLY a great wave rose. While the disciples were fretting Jesus rebuked the waves and they subsided. So perhaps you were CREATED to speak to chaos and command it to be still? Perhaps chaos is all around you because you’re not using your mouth and God given authority to speak to the waves. I declare today that while reading this post you discover the authority that’s on the inside of you. I pray you won’t be fearful because of how the circumstances look. Be free from disturbances today, know that you are created for chaos and be peace in the midst of the storm! I’m rooting for you 🥳
